Preprocessing:
Define key points/lines/areas/volumes, define element type and material/geometric properties, mesh lines/areas/volumes as required. The amount of detail required will depend on the dimensionality of the analysis (i.e. 2D, axis-symmetric, and 3D).
Solution:
Assigning loads, constraints and solving; specifying the loads (points or pressure), constraints (transactional and rotational) and finally solving the resulting set of equations.
Post Processing:
The following results can be viewed: List of nodal displacements, element forces and moments, deflection plots, stress contour diagrams.
